MAZA is a non-binary, multi-genre artist and writer.

In 2020, they were featured in the documentary film The Art of Protest. In 2021, one of Maza’s needle-felted originals played a role in an award-winning stop-motion short, Everybody Goes to the Hospital. The online literary magazine Writing Disorder recently published their brief essay in which they describe their experience suffering mania as a person with bipolar disorder.

Maza often finds inspiration in space, nature, queerness, and the bittersweet. You’ll find them crafting maps of Middle Earth or felting kawaii creatures when they’re not watching Star Trek.
